Parse Error: Syntax Error, unexpected...

Postby crystalwish3 » 14 May 2016, 14:41

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/myselfhe/public_html/onlinetrainingcourses/main/inc/lib/api.lib.php on line 4792

Could someone tell me what this error code means?
I installed Chamilo yesterday and it worked fine.
After I removed a couple other scripts I was testing, it stopped working so I removed chamilo and reinstalled it (tried two different directories)
and I keep getting this error.

Im really not good at finding these files :? So if someone could give me specific instructions lol I would be grateful.
THANKS!

Please Help!
Thanks!

Hi,

It looks like you are running Linux since the path is /home/myswlfhe/.....

If you remove chamilo for a reinstall, you also have to remove the chamilo database. (in the mysql shell type drop database chamilo;) for an example how to do this see http://www.liquidweb.com/kb/delete-a-mysql-database-on-linux-via-command-line/
If you already have learning opjects in chamilo and want to preserve those, make a database dump first
Here is an example how to do this: http://www.liquidweb.com/kb/how-to-back-up-mysql-databases-from-the-command-line/

Let me know how it goes.

Ok I went and checked and there are no databases for Chamilo
Also, when I remove the installations, it has a checked box where it says it removes the database and a couple other things.

I went into mySQL databases and there is no chamilo db installed? What do I do next?
Thanks so much for your help
Im using SiteGround if that helps any lol
Appreciate it :D
